How do we help our guests escape the cycle of homelessness? Our STEP Program!
STEP (Shelter Transition Exit Plan) works with each guest at Interfaith Sanctuary to help assess their needs and barriers and identify the steps necessary to help them with an exit plan from shelter to housing.
Our team of Case Managers has grown from two in 2015 to 11 by the end of 2016. With community support, compassion, great programming, some hand holding and a safe place to take the “steps” in the right order, Interfaith Sanctuary aims to help change the lives of our chronically homeless guests who are willing and able to work with case management.
Help them with their first steps by donating monthly to Interfaith Sanctuary’s STEP Program.

Interfaith Sanctuary is dependent solely on donations from individual donors in our community, like you, who believe that everyone has the right to safe and secure shelter.
As a donor to Interfaith Sanctuary, you will join us in saving lives and building better futures for men, women, and families with children in our community who are experiencing homelessness.
Your donations provide emergency shelter, meals, and critical supportive services for up to 164 people each and every night of the year. During most of 2016, the shelter was at near capacity. In 2015, Interfaith Sanctuary provided 65,404 bed nights and meals and served 766 individuals; 721 adults and 45 children.
We provide our services for $12.00 per night per person, making us one of the most cost-effective shelters in our area, so you know your money is directly helping those who need it most.
When you donate to Interfaith Sanctuary, you join hundreds of other individual donors, businesses, organizations, faith communities and foundations in our community who believe in the importance of our mission: to shelter and serve individuals experiencing homelessness.
With your help, we provide comprehensive support to our shelter guests; in addition to responding to individuals and families needing emergency shelter, with our Supportive Services program we help direct people on a new path that moves them beyond shelter living
100% of our funding comes directly from individual donors like you, grants, local foundations, businesses, with churches contributing to this total too. We are truly a local effort and we can’t do what we do without your help.
Thank you for helping to make Boise, Idaho an example of how to care for the most vulnerable citizens and make our city a better place for all!
