Interfaith Sanctuary’s Conditional Use Permit: Season Two

Remember the smash hit in season one? It had everything: plot twists, passionate dialogue (lots and lots of dialogue), and some very mixed reviews. While season one ended with a surprise twist (thanks, Idaho Supreme Court), it also left us with something powerful: an opportunity to return with a clearer, stronger, and more informed story.

Introducing Season Two of The Conditional Use Permit

Premiering July 7 at Boise City Hall, this next chapter brings back the full cast; staff, supporters, legal counsel, and community partners alongside a brand-new script. This time, our CUP application is backed by over 200 pages of detailed documentation, including our comprehensive Safety & Security Management Program and Shelter Operations Plan.

What’s new this season?

For starters, the City of Boise has revised its zoning code and passed a new ordinance, bringing more clarity and structure to the Conditional Use Permit process for shelter homes. These updates are a step forward, helping communities like ours navigate land use decisions with transparency and fairness.

Here’s where you come in

We’re inviting our supporters, our biggest believers, to show up once again. Whether it’s attending and testifying at the hearing, sending written testimony in support, or simply helping share accurate information with your networks, your presence helps build understanding and hope.

This is more than just a zoning process. It’s a moment to come together, to show that our community believes in thoughtful planning, in compassionate care, and in shelter models that support healing, dignity, and a real path forward for those experiencing homelessness.

We’ve learned from the past. We’ve listened to feedback. And we’ve worked tirelessly to make this new plan something our whole city can be proud of.

So grab your seat, bring your voice, and let’s make Season Two a story of community, courage, and compassion.
