Our first CUP attempt was full of twist and turns—passionate dialogue, mixed reviews, and a surprise courtesy of the Idaho Supreme Court.
But every step provided us with invaluable insight, and the City of Boise revised its zoning code for greater clarity in CUP processes for shelter homes like ours.
The July 7 hearing is an opportunity for us to showcase our excitement for our most detailed CUP yet—over 200 pages of comprehensive documentation including our Safety & Security Management Program and Shelter Operations Plan.
We’ve learned from feedback, listened to concerns, and worked tirelessly to create a plan our whole city can be proud of. We’re inviting you to show up and share your support by submitting written comments in advance, attending the public hearing, and providing testimony.
As you are contemplating what you'd like to share in your comments or testimony, here are some highlights that make our new shelter on state street so special
