Our community does it again!
Interfaith Sanctuary celebrated the 4th of July with a BBQ at our shelter. This event was a special one! We weren’t able to celebrate last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and we couldn’t have done it without a group of marvelous donors, community members, and staff who helped us create a home-cooked meal for anyone in need.
Food program director Matt Hoffman and program graduates Scotty and Jeff served 220 hot dogs from a new grill they assembled last week with Buzz, our facility director, in preparation for the 4th of July weekend.
Thank you to Janet Kaufman, Cindy Greiner, Gracy & Christy Little, Precision Propeller, Mark & Tami Masarik, Tammy Van De Graaf, Shepherd of the Valley, Ted Chester, and a pair of anonymous donors for helping us source hot dogs, chips, baked beans, relish, soda, and popsicles!
US Foods set aside 150 pounds of ice for us for an entire week, even after they had run out of ice themselves during this heatwave.
We’re grateful to be a part of such an outstanding community. Thanks for making this an excellent holiday weekend for all Boiseans!
