A Poem by Dennis

Oh bird, who art thou

and are you singing for me

Or do we both share the delight

of God’s creation!

    And wish we’re all appreciated

how great it is to sing about it

So glory be to this bird in all of its beauty

and blessed is the pleasure

that we so desire

Indeed the world—

God is alive!

Dennis wrote this poem in a workshop hosted by The Cabin at the STEP-UP Learning Center in Boise. The classes aim to hold space for reflective writing.
