Shelter for All

Interfaith Sanctuary’s plan to build a new shelter in the former Salvation Army building at 4308 W State Street will now move forward after a conditional use permitting process that took almost a year-and-a-half.

Interfaith Sanctuary’s Conditional Use Permit Approved By Boise City Council

After over a year of conversations, pauses, hearings and denials, the Boise City Council overturned a decision by the Planning and Zoning Commission and voted to allow Interfaith Sanctuary to move our homeless shelter to the former Salvation Army building on State Street.

HEARTACHE AT THE STATE HOUSE

It was a beautiful quilt. It must have provided a great deal of physical and emotional comfort. My heart sank as I removed it from the abandoned tent on the Capitol Mall.
